Latvian IT Cluster started to implement project “IT CEAP – Information technology cluster’s embassies, academy, platforms” (in Latvian „IT KVAP – Informācijas tehnoloģiju klastera vēstniecības, akadēmija, platformas”) co-financed by European Regional Development Foundation.
Aim of project is to improve competitiveness and increase export of IT companies and sector in total by strengthening linkages between IT companies and education and research institutions with three basic activities:
Elimination of the gap between offer and demand in specific IT competencies;
Establish common IT cluster’s embassies/agents network abroad;
Promoting improvement of specific technological platforms.
To achieve mid-term goals of Latvian IT Cluster there will be realized actions in main 6 directions:
Strengthen capacity and improve competence of Cluster’s specialists;
Education – to prepare competent IT specialists;
Export – to establish network of agents abroad;
Improvement of technological platforms and standards;
Development of Riga IT Demo Center as marketing tool of Latvian IT brand;
Acquirement of new technological niches and their development in global.

On the 12th of September 2012 Latvian IT Cluster signed Agreement with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency on the implementation of the ERDF project „IT KVAP – Informācijas tehnoloģiju klastera vēstniecības, akadēmija, platformas” (Project ID KAP/2.3.2.3.0/12/01/002, Agreement No L-KAP-12-0008).
